Normative integrates HowGood into new Vertical Carbon Data Module to enhance food & agriculture reporting

Setting a new standard for carbon reporting in food and beverage

Stockholm, October 2, 2025 – Normative, the market-leading carbon accounting platform, today announces a new partnership with HowGood. Through the partnership, Normative expands its Vertical Carbon Data Module, unlocking ingredient and farm-level emissions data directly in the platform. The partnership enables food and beverage companies to access unparalleled granularity, helping them report with confidence and take meaningful action on their climate targets.

Food and beverage companies face some of the most complex climate challenges: agricultural practices that vary by geography, supplier, and season; shifting consumer demands; and intensifying regulatory and investor scrutiny. HowGood addresses these challenges with 20 years of food industry research and the world’s largest agricultural emissions database, offering 90,000 crop- and location-specific emission factors. This depth of data allows companies to distinguish between conventional and regenerative methods, assess land-use impacts, and track the climate footprint of their agricultural sourcing decisions with greater accuracy.

About the HowGood partnership

Normative’s audit-grade carbon accounting engine, trusted for its alignment with global standards and full scope 1–3 coverage, now integrates HowGood’s agricultural data directly into its workflows. Normative customers who require additional granularity can access this new Carbon Data Module to strengthen reporting, pinpoint agricultural hotspots, and prioritize climate actions without leaving the Normative platform.

This partnership reflects the growing demand for connected carbon systems, bringing together detailed agricultural inputs with corporate-level reporting. By linking procurement decisions directly to company-wide climate performance, companies can better identify hotspots, strengthen disclosures, and accelerate reductions.

Delivering granularity where it matters most

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to helping food and beverage companies gain actionable insights, improve reporting accuracy, and make data-driven decisions across their agricultural supply chains.

HowGood’s agricultural emissions data brings valuable depth and credibility to the Normative platform.
